First!

Ok, so I tried to start a blog before but I could never get it off the ground. I never posted. Or I never started posting.

My name is Kurt. I am 24. I live in Harrisburg, PA. I graduated from Wake Forest University and with a degree in business management. I sell insurance in a family business. I enjoy motorcycling, reading, playing video games, hiking, camping, and cooking.

Over the past 8 months my life has changed dramatically. I met a girl, fell in love, and now we're headed to the great state of Maine to start the next phase of our lives.

That girl's name is Kristin. She is 24 and we've known each other since the 6th grade. She was recently accepted into a biology Masters program at the University of Maine. It was too good an opportunity to pass up, and she's too great a woman to pass up, so we're moving together in about a month.

The purpose of this blog is (theoretically) to record my thoughts and experiences as we prepare and move to Orono, Maine, and of our time there. I don't really know anything about Maine, except that has short summers and long winter and that, at heart, I'm a southern boy.
